Indy Ignite continued their three match road trip stopping in San Diego to face the Mojo Friday night. Despite jumping out to a hot start in the first set, Ignite fell in four sets moving to 3-1 on the season still holding the number one spot in the PVF. I want to note that I stand by everything I have previously said about this team. I truly think what they have and are doing is incredibly special and worth highlighting.

From their opening night win against Orlando, I had a feeling this team was going to be a GRITTY one. With their most recent five set road win over Columbus Fury Saturday January 17th, that word stands true. With this win, Indy Ignite moves on to 3-0 on the season giving them the NUMBER ONE spot in the league. Unfortunately, I am not able to attend Ignite's away matches, so these blog posts will look slightly different. However, I still wanted to give some of my thoughts from the match. Two things in particular stuck out to me. The second and fifth set.

It was Pink Ribbon Night at the Fishers Event Center as Indy Ignite brought out the brooms against Grand Rapids Rise Thursday night to improve to 2-0 on the season. It was an atmospheric night for everyone, including the players, as Caitlin Clark from the Indiana Fever sat courtside to show her support. After the match when asked what having her support meant, Azhani Tealer responded: “it was pretty sick.”
